Noah Masa Verbally Commits to University of Illinois at Chicago!
Sep 15

Masa UIC

Noah Masa, senior right handed pitcher on the 18U North Rhino team, has verbally committed to the University of Illinois at Chicago!

Noah, going into his senior season, was heavily recruited by multiple schools as he can hit 90MPH on the gun with quality secondary pitches as well.

On the mound, Noah has a bulldog mentality where he displays confidence and attacks the opposition.

For the Rhino's last season, Noah showed his impressive pitching abilities by throwing 2 no-hit gems during the summer season.

UIC faced a tough schedule last season and finished the season with a respectable 27-28 record. UIC took then #2 in the nation, Vanderbilt, to extra innings where they lost 3-1 and also faced then #24 Texas A&M and won 2-0.

Noah will play for Coach Mike Dee who has seen over 50 of his players go onto have professional baseball careers, including New York Yankees slugger Curtis Granderson.

Congrats Noah! We could not be more happy for you at Rhino Baseball!

Matthew Bottcher, 2016 grad and Rhino player, was invited to the 10th annual Silver and Black Series presented by the Chicago Scouts Association!

This showcase is one of the top baseball events in the Midwest. An article written about the Silver and Black Series states that, "The student athletes who have exhibited superior skill on the baseball diamond and exceptional character off the diamond are invited annually to exhibit their talents amongst professional scouts and college coaches.

The roster for the games can be found at:

Those who standout to the coaches and scouts will garner the opportunity to travel to the New Balance Area Code Games which are held in California. At these games the stage becomes even bigger with MLB scouts and many more college coaches in attendence.

Very excited for Matthew to display his talents at the Silver and Black Series. Last season, as a Freshman, Matthew was the varsity starting shortstop on the Romeoville High School baseball team.

Noah Masa Throws No Hitter in Top Collegiate Prospects Invite!
Jul 12

Masa z

Noah Masa got the start for the 18U Rhino team's opening game of the Top Collegiate Prospects Invite. He did not dissapoint.

Noah threw a no hitter (7K's and 1 BB), with Jake Mahy catching, against the Central Illinois Indians, paving the way to a 3-0 win for the Rhinos!

Going into his senior year at Lockport Township High School, Noah has a bulldog mentality on the mound. Noah attacks hitters with his 87 mph fastball and keeps them off balance with his latebreaking 1-7 curveball, slider, and changeup.

Not only is Noah a great pitcher, but he is an even better young man and student. Coah Tierney states, "There really aren't enough positive words to describe Noah Masa".

After his no hitter, his teamates took to twitter to congratulate him:

Nick Kaleel: " A big congrats to @noah5115 for tossing a big No-hitter tonight! #nobodybetter #stud #nono #shutout

Cam Powell: "S/O to @noah5115 for the no hitter!! #RB"

Jake Mahy: "S/O to @noah 5115 for tossing the No-No #RB"

Noah responded to his teamates by tweeting " Thanks to all for congratualting me, but it couldn't have been done without the solid studs behind me and my boy behind the plate #RBBaseball".

With Noah's talent, respectfullness, and grades, whatever college scoops him up will be very happy with the young man they are getting!

Congrats Noah and the entire 18U team!
