Colin Walton, a 2017 RHP from Bremen HS, has verbally committed to South Suburban College!

Colin came to the Rhino program this year for help in the recruiting process.

On the mound, Colin has been up to 85mph and has the ability to spin the curveball.

Going the junior college route is an ideal fit for Colin as he has the chance to add some more velocity along with adding a quality third pitch.

He will join Rhino alumn Stephen Hill at SSC.

The coach of the Bulldogs is Steve Ruzich who is in his 30th season at the helm. In those seasons he has tallied a record of 1048-607. Coach Ruzich was inducted into the NJCAA Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2014.

In his time Coach Ruzich has seen 21 of his players rafted by Major League teams and five of those have reached the bigs.

Excited to see Colin's continued progression at SSC. Congrats!

Jan 04

IMG 5248

Tyler Suchy, a 2017 INF from Oak Forest HS, has verbally committed to Robert Morris University!

Tyler has been in the Rhino program for the past 2 years and he is one of our favorite players in the program to watch play. He plays with a type of reckless abandon and will run through a wall for his teammates. Tyler is usually covered head to toe in dirt after a couple of innings.

Robert Morris will be getting a player who can move to multiple spots in the infield. He has the skills to play 3B, SS and 2B.

He is bringing that reckless abandon attitude to Robert Morris' football team as he will be a two sport athlete in college.

Tyler will be coached on the baseball field by Jason Becker. Coach Becker is in his 5th season as head coach and has an overall record of 156-102.

Very excited for Tyler and his opportunity to be a two sport athlete in college.

Congrats!

Raul will be joining Rhino Wiscosnin alumn Alex Gerhardt while at Trinity Christian.

The Trolls are coached by Justin Huisman who has been with the program for 8 years and 6 of those years as head coach. Coach Huisman is 158-151-1 at the helm of the program.

Recently the team has seen an enormous amount of success with conference tournament and national tournament appearances the past 4 years.

Raul is a fantastic young man and extrmely hard working.

IMG 4756

Mike Wagner, a 2017 RHP/OF from Downers Grove South, has verbally committed to Heartland Community College!

Wags came to tryouts this fall and right away you could see the untapped potential in him. He is young for a senior and has not come close to physically maturing.

From a crow hop Mike has been able to get it up to 95mph, 6.99 runner, and 90 plus exit vleo. On the mound Mike lives 82-85 and has been up to 88mph.

The junior college route is a fantastic fit for Mike as he is a player that after two more years of development is going to really take off as a player.

While at Heartland, Mike will be coached by Brian Furlong who came from Creighton University as Director of Baseball Operations and before that at Iowa in the same capacity.

Last year Heartland finished 7th in the NJCAA DII National Rankings by going 41-13.

Heartland does a fantastic job of placing their players into 4 years schools including in 2016 alone to schools such as Illinois State, Mississippi State, Auburn and Western Illinois. They also had the ABCA/Rawlings NJCAA DII Baseball Player of the Year in 2016.

Mike will be playing at the Corn Crib which Heartland calls home along with the Normal CornBelters which is a professional baseball team.

Very excited for Mike and this great fit. Looking forward to seeing his continued development and where that takes him.

On the field JJ has the ability to play both shortstop and second base along with the outfield. He also is a very projectable pitcher on the mound with his tall, lengthy body and lively arm action.

His last three outings he has shut down Indiana Nitro, Cangelosi Sparks and Cleveland Indians Scout Team.

Miami (OH) is Logan's dream school and will be coached by Danny Hayden who is in his fourth year at the helm of the program. Coach Hayden is overseeing a $3 million project that will see upgraded locker tooms, offices and training and equipment rooms.

The Redhawks went 27-29 overall last season including 14-10 in the MAC conference.

Webster, a DIII school located in St. Louis, is headed up by Bill Kurich who has been the head coach for a decade.

In 2015 the Gorloks finished 8th in the national poll which was the 4th consectitive year that they finished in the top 10 nationally.

Zach will be coached by Rob Fournier who has been the head coach at WVC for 19 years and has been a staple in the top 25 rankings, including 15 straight seasons.

Most impressive is Coach Fournier's ability to help his players continue onot 4 year schools or the MLB draft.
